In 1958,education commenced with Gram Shala the Basic Secondary School. The primary school of district panchayat started since 1960 in the compound of the institution. During 1963-64 Gramshala has been transferred into post basic school. Upto 1970 there was co-education. In 1971 an independent girl's school was started from the view point of women education. The main craft in both the schools is agriculture and cattle breeding. Over and above all the academic subjects are there. Social reconstruction is in place of Social studies. Std. 11-12 was started of Higher Post Basic agriculture stream in Gramshala in 1976. The vocational stream of home science was started in girls school in 1982. Gramseva Mahavidhyalay was started of graduation level in 1986. It got the affiliation with North Gujarat University in 1998.
Primary School
In one way, it is a primary school, but institutional environment, tradition of the best principals and the pains taken by the teachers made it a model school. The school building of 7 rooms is well equipped with the natural assembly open space made by coating with the dung by the children, trees and a long grove of trees and a garden. The school has achieved the facilities like coloured TV, its wooden box, a bell made of brass, the plastic chairs, fans, tube lights, harmonium, water tank, urinals etc. through the scheme of operation blackboard and the public help.
There are 230 children and 6 teachers in the school of std. 1 to 7. Sprinkling of culture is done through love and good will. The timing is from 11 to 5. The children of upper classes are taking advantage by coming and going from the surrounding 5 to 7 villages. It does the work as and as much as the other primary schools. Moreover many activities like tours, travels, festivals-celebration elocution competition, self-teaching day, games & sports, picture, rangoli, gymnastics, cultural programme, tree plantation, sprinkling the water preparing a hedge, cleanliness, decoration, etc. are arranged. The virtues like self-confidence, enthusiasm and personality development are cultivated in them and it can be seen through the daily activities like cleanliness, prayer, bhajan, Dhoon, Shanti mantra, sarvodayapatra, news reading, question-answer, talk, good thought, etc. The use of the library, extra examinations like Hindi and Gandhian thought, the lessons given in internship programme, participation in the institutional programme etc. also play a good role in the development of small children.
Thought the subject of gymnastics is not there, the students are used to perform light exercises, innings, seating etc. They participate in the gymnastics competition arranged at taluka level or by the group of the schools. They get the rank also. In 1981, 10 to 15 years old 50 children participated in the holiday - home camp arranged by Gujarat State Social Welfare Board. This school achieved the first rank in that year in such camps organized in the state. The "Shri Kinariwala" trophy is achieved. They got the first prize of Rs. 500 in tree-rearing arranged on the occasion of Van mahotsavaby the department of forest, taluka Kalol during the two years from 1998 to 2000. The children also participated in the environment camp. Almost 110 children of Std. 5 to 7, got the certificate, prize and book regarding botany as a gift along with the awareness about medicine, nature cure, prevention of health etc.
Primary education of all the children of the staff members of the institution is impartd in this government school. They all remember with good feelings the school as well as teacher.
Rural school (Gramshala - Secondary school)
This first Basic Secondary School of the district has experienced many pleasures and pains. It has also completed 42 years with the institution. The second generation has started to learn here.
In the beginning, there were 32 students of Std. 6 to 9. Today 342 students are studying in 8 classes including two each of std. 8 to 10 and one each of std. 11-12. There are 21 staff members, out of which 15 academic and 6 non- academic in the school. Out of 21 rooms of the independent building with one upper floor of the school, there are 8 class rooms an assembly hall, a library , a science laboratory, exhibition room of agriculture and three offices of the principle, teachers and clerk. Other rooms are used for extracurricular activities. The timing of the school is from 10-45 to 5-30. 85 students of the seven surrounding villages take advantage of the institution. Gramshala has a rich library of 8846 books. There is a reading room, where 50 magazines and 3 daily newspapers are available.
Uttar Buniyadi Kanya Vidyalaya
The Kanya Vidyalaya runs from the point of view of girl's education and women upliftment. The chhatralay is also there.
The sewing school is attached to it. Today 147 are studying in Std. 8 to 12. The building of the school is comprised 8 rooms wherein there are 5 classrooms, principal's office, teacher's room and a library. There are 10 teachers and 4 other staff members in the school. The timings of the school are from 10.45 to 5.30. 48 girls of 7 surrounding villages are taking advantage of it by up down.
Gram Seva Mahavidyalay[Bachelor of Rural Studies (BRS)]
With a view to village upliftment and national development, the main subjects like (1) Agriculture (2) Village expansion (3) Cattle-breeding and dairy and (4) Gardening are taught here. At present in 2000, there are 24 students in the first year, 23 in the second year and 27 in the third year. Thus, total 74 students are learning. Formerly, there was a great rush. There are 22 workers out of which we have a principal, 8 professors, a labour co-coordinator, a gruhpatis, a librarian, a stockman, a physician, an accountant, two clerks, three peons and a watchman. Institutional residence is considered compulsory for the workers and chhatralay for the students.
Chhatralaya is the spinal cord of the institution. It makes the institution healthy, lasting and strong. It achieves the balanced developmentof the body, mind and heart. It is a home for the group of chhatras. The lion share of the Chhatras' time passes in the chhatralaya. The chhatralaya of Nai Talim education is a life school. It is an invaluable centre of accomplishing community life. There, the personality of the student develops through the familiarity of the home and the culture of the Asharam.
As a good luck the beginning of the institution had been with the chhatralaya. In 1956 the foundation-stone was established by the motivation of Rev. Jugatrambhai. It attainedgood gruhpatis. The well-developedgruhpatis from the institutions like Sarvodaya Ashram, Valam; Congrss Sevadal, Lokbharti Sanosara and Grambharti. School-Chhatralaya and teachers-gruhpatis have remained complementary to each other.
Today there are four chhatralayas. The oldest and the biggest one for boys is GandhibapuChhatralay. It is 44 years old. Since 1865, Kasturba Kanya chhatralay for girls has been started. The Chhatralay for the college came into existence along with the college in 1986. In 1992 Sardar chhatralay for the students of Bakshipanch was established at last. There are many equalities in the various activities of chhatralay, group or team works and daily routine, but there are some ap[ecialities in aims, needs, level, number, facilities and management. The efforts of good management are carried on through the planning at the commencement of the year and the preliminary preparation as well as yearly report and evaluation.
In chhatralayas, there is self-ruling. The group of secretaries administers. The teams perform the household work in group life. By this, the chhatrasget the education for responsibility, democracy and citizenship. The mechanism runs smoothly. The wardens take care directly. The company of teachers and the environment of the institution work for it.

Sardar chhatralaya
In 1992, Sardar chhatralaya was demanded for continuing the work of social improvement and educating the castes like Thakore, Shepherd, Raval and it was granted. Its registered number is 42. One gruhpatiand one cook. For it there is a well-equipped building which was used for girls' chhatralaya before.
It became possible to give more opportunity to the children of that caste which was the cause form the commencement of the institution and the chhatralaya for Thakor caste, due to this chhatralaya. The great work of national environment has been continues through chhatralayas.The other works are, of removal of untouchability, prevention of addiction making reputable the agriculture and cattle breeding and removing castism are also performed by them. All stay there as there was no castism in chhatralayas,all take their food at one kitchen and perform the group activities. The Muslim boys sing the bhajansof Krishna bhakti, the Khoja boys may be a tabachi, and the Hindu boys take up the songs sung by the other boys all these have happened in chhatralaya.

Mahavidyalay chhatralaya
The college is in all way a residential one. The chhatralaya is not a place only to live and eat, but it is a nursery of value development this is an experiment-based conviction. If the chhatralaya-life is not satisfactory, the student who passes in curriculum subjects is not getting the admission in the next year. Moreover, the intensive educational activities of gram-vidyapith, and the intensive community-life of chhatralaya from the point of view of further knowledge and development of life are more important.
There are three chhatralayas for three years. There are three big rooms in each chhatralaya. All the facilities of light, fan and wall cupboard are there. A dining hall is well ventilated and is meant for 150 students. A kitchen and a store are there. A bath-ghat with a reservoir of water along with the place for the cleanliness of vessel and the best sanitation unit. In kitchen and the laboratory the gas of the gas plant attached to the toilets is used. 15 trailor of fertilizer of the compost mixed of dirty water and rubbish things is achieved. In kitchen, the collective cooker is used.
In Grambharti institution, there is an assembly hall with all the facilities and a capacity of 1500 people who can sit there. The weekly group prayer, functions conference, training class and gymnastics are arranged. From games, udyog and reading, there is an alternative time-table of the three years of 4.30 to 5.30.
The college and the chhatralaya are separate. The college works from 7.30 to 11.30 a.m. and from 2 to 6. The remaining is the time of chhatralaya. Thereisgruhpatiof the college. The lecturers look after the management of the chhatralaya yearwise. There are in total 74 students out of which 23, 24 and 27 of all the three years respectively.
The original name is Kasturba Girls' Ashram. It started with 10 girls in 1965. It is a registered chhatralay for schedule caste. It has its independent and well-facilated building, wherein there are 64 girls of schedule caste, 16 schedule tribe, 16 of Baxipanch, 8 of economically backward and 3 of other caste. The girls from 15 districts of 17 castes like Tanner, Weaver, Shrimali, Cobbler, Potter, Thakor, Shepherd, Original ruffian, Raval, Vaghari, Fisher, Aadivasi, Chaudhari, Patel, Rajput, Brahmincome there from distance to be educated. There are 2 gruhmatas, 3 cooks and 1 watchman.
The separate evening prayer of seven days is sung in the girl's chhatralaya. The chhatralaya with rooms is cleaned by brush soaked in water. The small and big travelling are organized. The parents from some states admit their daughters in this chhatralaya and school with affection since the years.
The Hostel was established in 1971.
A Science laboratory for std. 8 to 10 is there. They learn to prepare the house-hold things like indigo, chalk, Vaseline, medicine for itch and fenile beyond the experiments of the curriculum. There is a science club. The question-box is arranged there. Every year the school takes part in science fair. The below are given the striking details regarding the achievements in science fair.
There is a laboratory of Home Science and a beautiful exhibition for Std. 11 & 12. There are various materials of decoration, the samples of knitting & embroidering, beautiful charts, models, pictures. In home science, there are subjects like creche and management of pre-primary education, entrepreneurship and sociology are also there. Many girls get the diploma of sewing by using the leisure time in Std. 11.
